Craziness
Ok.....so I am seriously thinking that I want an iMac and a Macbook.............now...you all know as well as I do that I do NOT need 3 computers.....................but I am SOOOO tempted. I have to give this some more thought. I just know that I am going to be a poor PhD student for the next five years.....so I want to get what I want NOW........but I only have so much money.........well............I will sleep on it. Ya see, that would be a huge decision for me to make. I was just looking at printers last night and couldn't decide which one to get. I'm hoping my computer lasts until after my death!

You Crazy!
I suggest sinking the extra money into beefing up the iMac with larger drives, more memory, all the software you need and an extended warranty. That way she'll always be "like new". At least until your Dr Katie and can afford to buy Little a new computer. ;-)
Remember....all those little things add up quite a bit. You'll also need a drive to back up your iMac. It's not common to loose your hard drive but we have and know someone who has......and having everything backed up makes ALL the difference.
